Super 230s unveiled at ET Awards for Corporate Excellence

The Economic Times Awards for Corporate Excellence was held on 8th November 2005 at the Hilton Towers , Mumbai. The awards ceremony was attended by Finance Minister, Mr P Chidambaram and the most prominent corporate czars in India . Mr Gautam Singhania, Chairman & Managing Director, Raymond Ltd and members of Raymond senior management were also present.
At the awards ceremony, Raymond unveiled a global product - Super 230s fabric made of
11.8 micron wool.The first Super 230s suit length was auctioned through closed bids. The winner of the bid was none other than the world's third richest man, Mr LN Mittal who placed the bid for an undisclosed amount. Mr Mittal has the privilege of being the first to own Super 230s - the world's finest worsted suiting fabric . The proceeds of the bid will go to Akanksha, an NGO dedicated to the cause of street children.
